Forexcalculatoronline.com  Helping
the Youth of our Community

What can you do with your success?
One of the best things that has come with financial freedom, is your ability to give back.
This is what we are doing with our new found success,
but it has become too big for us at FCO to support so I am asking others for help.

Please will you help us?
We have started a project to help the youth of our community to learn self sufficiency.
Starting by growing their own food and supply it to the community and there by building their own business. We have got it started but to take it to the next level we need HELP from some willing contributors. Can and will you Help us?

In Brief:
We have acquired a run down over grown property that was once used as a market garden and we are in the process
of restoring it back to a workable garden.

But to get it to the next level which is a fully functioning market garden, we need funds to buy resources. So far I have been able to funds the starting of the project with the proceeds of the membership from FCO.

As we clear the weeds and establish the garden beds, we realizing we need a major injection of funds to set up things like the irrigation systems, tools, seeds, fertilizer and business infra-structure.  At the moment all the labour is being provided by my three sons and their friends and the numbers are growing.

We live in a rural community where jobs for the youth are become ever more difficult to find so it is a wonderful opportunity to give them a head start, give them something to do and teach them some life skills. they are all very keen and enthusiastic and I want to keep that alive.

We are looking for interested parties who wish to help us

Above: Building the Chook pen and to the right is the finished pen.

Let me tell you a our story of how this all came about.

One of the best things that has come with freedom, especially financial freedom, is your ability to give back. That share pleasure of help others unconditionally. Having that one ability is what I think makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Chapter 1. Introduction

For me the creation of forexcalculatoronline.com has been a step by step process over the last five years. The learning curve has taken many twists and turns to arrive at what we have today, and as I see it, looking back at the journey we are still only at the beginning.
What attracted me to trading was the Idea of a business that will give you time back. But as we all know trading currency is
not a reliable source of income.
If you truly want to get your time back you need to back it up with some form passive income.
For me that is my member’s website www.forexcalculatoronline.com.

One year down the track of the launch, FCO is giving members not only a very handy tool in the form of the calculators but the whole website has evolved into a comprehensive traders tool kit , that is and will keep on evolving as the trading industry is always changing.
What FCO gives in return is an almost passive income which gives me back my time and as the money is increasing that begins the over flow effect and the ability to give back.

Money is a tool that gives freedom of choice
and the time to do things that you can be passionate about
.

As luck would have it, (definition of Luck: Opportunity meets Preparation), we have found a way to combine all our interests in to one project.  What started out as a way to teach our teenage children the art of the "Entrepreneurial Spirit" is rapidly turning into community effort, where we are now teaching the Youth of the community how to setting up and run a market Garden business.

How did this idea come about? It was Luck, We were living in a very beautiful place in rural Australia called Kangaroo Valley. But as our 3 boys were reaching that age where KV became to Isolated to give them job prospect for the future we needed to move closer to a bigger centre that would give them more freedom, access to public transport the ability to be independent.
At the same time we didn’t want to have to move back into the suburbs, we do like the rural life style. We needed to find a place that suited.

It’s funny sometimes you really do need to look far outside the box to see the true opportunity in a situation.
We had been looking for places for about six month when my wife said there is a place on 3 acres just outside Berry.
She rang only to find that it had been taken. So we dismissed it, then a month later we got a call from the real estate agent asking if we were still interested. We were going over that way so out of interest we said we would call in and take a look.
What we found and it is the reason the other people did want it, was a rat in festered over grown swamp with junk and garbage everywhere.

It funny most people who came on to the property could only see the weeds and the vermin.
No one looked at what was under the garbage.
What was there was a fully functional market garden that had been left for over two year, Since the old Italian bloke had got sick and died, his family had no interest in the property sold off all the equipment and let the weeds and rats take over. By the time we found it, it had lost it’s charm.

When we told people where we were moving to, they laughed and made jokes about moving on to the tip, or made comments about how the property get flooded. We just smiled and started work.

Chapter 2

They are not laughing now, as we have uncovered what is here.

In today economic times it is becoming hard to find a job this is especially so in rural areas. In our area youth unemployment is very high and for every job that comes available there are over 50 kids lining up for it.

I am a great advocate of the “Rich Dad Poor Dad” Philosophy of Robert Kiyosaki
and keep quoting it to my boys in the hope that some of it will sink in, and it did when they realized just how hard it is to get a job and when they did get a job just how restrictive working for someone else can be. My oldest son came back to me with “Yes Dad I now understand that I will never have true wealth and freedom working for other people”. I replied this is great news son now we can really get started.

Stage 1. Weeding

As you can see from the photos, the place was very over grown but what we could not show in that pictures is the rat infestation, which meant, to remove both the weeds and the rats it had to be done by hand small sections at a time digging out the weeds and the rats nests at the same times trying to keep all the good plants intact. (How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time).

Underneath all the takeover weeds we started to find all the regrowth of the original garden. The weeding had to be planned in stages, we had to make up areas to be able to transplant all the plants we wanted to keep. Things like Potatoes tomatoes Garlic strawberries onions etc,.

The rats were perhaps the trickiest to get rid of as we did want them to just move to a different area we need to contain the plaque and reduce they numbers. Also not wanting to use poison in the veggie packet we had to use different methods of containment.

The next challenge was water, even though we have unlimited amounts of water on the property, our water supply is at one end of the property and the garden is at the other end. We have rigged up a temporary solution that is serving adequately at the moment, but to go through to the level of commercial growing, we need to set up a full irrigation system. We have two choices.
1. We build the garden slowly and as we get a return we can invest this back into the garden, or
2. We can speed up the process and ask for help and this is what we are doing here.

Option 1 Membership of FCO

To get this project started we have been using the membership subscription payment as funding and we will continue to do so.

Back to the Story

At the moment all the labour for weeding and restructuring the garden has been provided by volunteers, Friends of my sons aged from 13 through to 17. All these young people are proving to be very keen learners and hard workers. We have removed tons of weeds, moved tonnes of soil and slow eradicating the vermin.
The funds for the setting up operations and buying the recourses, tools seeds etc., needed are being provided by FCO membership.
It is adequate for the moment and we can build the project slowly so that we can develop the garden into a commercial venture. But we would like to be able to reward all their hard labour much faster.
All that is needed is an injection of funds to buy the commercial equipment needed.

Business Plan.

Let me give you the basic of our business plan. We have two objective:

1.    Teach the teenagers of our community some very important life’s skills to help them become self-sufficient, independent and generate passive income. Starting by teaching them how build a garden and grow their own food, then developing that in to a profitable business.

2.   Develop and rebuild the garden back into a commercial market garden that is completely self sustainable, through a total recycling system basic on the prim-a-culture method.

Marketing:

Everyone wants fresh veggies
We have a ready market in the local area as we are re-establishing an existing business and have had lots of enquiries .
Berry is also a weekend tourist town, and we a bases right on the highway and the surrounding street fill up with parked cars, which gives us huge volume of passing trade.

Fund Raising

Why am I asking for funds this way and not asking the local community? That’s easy, politics. I would much rather ask like minded people for help than get tangled up in local politics. I much prefer to deal with people who give unconditionally to worthy causes because they understand the principles of the law of attraction, what you give out you shall receive. Also we do not want to be thought of as a charity. This is a fund raising exercise specific purpose is to get the business up and running faster. This is why we are offering opportunities for investors and not just looking for hand outs.
This is also an exercise to show and teach the guys how to raise funds and then invest those funds into a worthwhile cause that will generate a passive income from doing something that you love.

What we have done so far.

As mentioned earlier all the labour is been provide at the moment as volunteer so no one can be pushed to make the work progress faster. It is therefore done in each person’s spear time after school and on the weekends. So each person’s work raceme is subject to their enthusiasm. This is having a wonderful effect of building a healthy air of competition, as each person comes in at different times and sees what the other had achieved and that drives them to what to do more on their own plots. This is teaching them the life skill of delayed gratification. These three things Enthusiasm, competition and the understanding of the skill of delayed gratification, are the ground base for the true "Entrepreneurial Spirit".

The major weeding has been a communal effort so far as has been the building of the nursery garden. But the major garden each person has elected to do their own thing in separate plots. This is what is building the competition. In The pictures above you will see where we started and in the photos below this is what we have done so far.
